An interactive flat panel (IFP) is a large touchscreen display that replaces the whiteboard and the projector with one device. Teachers write on it, run apps on it, pull up web content and connect student devices to it.

What does an interactive flat panel replace?
One IFP typically takes the place of four things: the dry-erase whiteboard, the projector and its bulb, the document camera and the separate speakers most classrooms added to make the projector usable.

What do interactive flat panels change in the classroom?
Three things change, and only one of them is about the screen.
