Brea, CA (July 3, 2023)ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, announced that it was recently named as one of the 2023 Best Places to Work in Orange County. The awards program was created in 2009 and is a project of the Orange County Business Journal in partnership with Workforce Research Group.

This county-wide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Orange County, CA, benefiting the county’s economy, its workforce, and businesses.

“We are incredibly proud that ViewSonic was named as one of the best places to work in 2023, making it the third year that we’ve received this honor,” said Jeff Volpe, president of ViewSonic Corp. “ViewSonic is nothing without its employees, and we continue to  promote positivity and innovation as we grow and evolve. The fact that we’ve been named to this list three years in a row shows that everyone in the company has the same mindset in making ViewSonic an amazing company, for consumers, partners, and employees.”

To be considered for participation, employers had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Have at least 15 full-or part-time permanent employees working in Orange County
  • Have a physical operation in Orange County
  • Be a publicly or privately held organization
  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit, or a government organization
  • Have been in business for at least one year, at the program registration deadline

Organizations from across the county entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Orange County. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 80 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top organizations and the final ranking. Workforce Research Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Orange County and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.

ViewSonic Professional Development Team Offers One-on-One Online Support and Advice for Teachers about Distance Learning

The Team Can Assist on Topics Including: Basics of Distance Learning, Tools to Use, and Curriculum Development and Execution

Brea, CA (April 13, 2020) – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, announced that it has made its Professional Development (PD) team available to assist teachers with distance learning advice and support. As part of the ViewSonic distance learning initiative during the COVID-19 outbreak, the PD team will offer one-on-one online support for teachers with any learning initiatives they may have, including topics such as: distance learning as a whole, tools for distance learning, curriculum development, as well as video creation or conferencing for lessons.

Teachers and students now face an entirely new way of teaching and learning. New tools are required, both on the hardware and software side, and are necessary to share ideas, communicate, and ensure student learning.

Some teachers may have concerns with distance learning as a concept, even without the “learning” part of it. A lot of what happens in the classroom during the instructional piece is being able to individualize the learning process or break it down so that every student is able to understand it. Going digital doesn’t necessarily allow for that direct integration.

The ViewSonic Professional Development team offers some general guidance:

• Adapt to the new normal: It’s important to set out goals and objectives that can be accomplished. It takes time for both the teacher and student to get comfortable with the new environment and pattern of learning.

• Class time replication: Weekly assignments, and projects are all ways to assess learning.  Think about the amount of time for instruction, classwork and discussions that occur in your traditional class period.  It’s important to not assign busy work that goes beyond that amount of time.

• Teach outside the box: Remote and distance learning is about learning and integrating new ways to educate. Get feedback from parents and students and make the most of the resources that are available online, and in a lot of cases, free.

“Remote and distance learning lessons are definitely different than inside the confines of a classroom,” said Blake Everhart, Solution Training Manager at ViewSonic Americas. “As a former teacher, I understand there’s sometimes a gap between learning the scope and sequence of the technology side that can match up with the lessons you want to teach. The ability to create and complete lessons, and how to filter through the many resources that are out there makes it tough to focus. ViewSonic Announces $500,000 Product Donation with Community Outreach Program that Focuses on America’s Youth and Education

BREA, CA (Feb, 27, 2020) – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of display solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its corporate social responsibility efforts with a new community outreach program focused on youth and education. The Empowering Future Generations initiative is kicking off through a partnership with Orange County United Way with donations of some half-million dollars in technology solutions to underserved schools.

“Our children are the future, and together we can help them succeed by providing resources that will enhance their learning experience,” said Susan B. Parks, President and CEO of Orange County United Way. “We are so grateful to ViewSonic for their giving spirit and shared mission and commitment to academic success for our youth. We believe in providing our children every opportunity for a quality education, and the technology will certainly help them meet their goals and achieve scholastic success.”

The partnership with Orange County United Way involves its Destination Graduation program that is offered to middle and high school students in high-need districts. This program helps reduce the local dropout rate and bridge the education achievement gap. The initial phase of this effort will provide ViewSonic® ViewBoard® interactive displays and myViewBoard™ software to support high levels of collaboration in AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) classrooms at Los Amigos High School and Santiago High School in the Garden Grove Unified School District.

The Empowering Future Generations initiative is designed to identify and support schools in need of technology resources for programs such as STEM and STEAM labs, SCALE-UP classrooms, robotics workshops and esports clubs. At the same time, it will provide opportunities for ViewSonic employees to engage with schools and serve their communities while building teamwork and leadership skills.

ViewSonic has been involved for some time in supporting schools with resources to enhance student learning and skills development. The company recently provided 100 Raspberry Pi compact computing devices for use by STEM, STEAM and robotics clubs in the Brea Olinda Unified School District. Other activities with Brea USD have included career days for 6th graders at ViewSonic headquarters and  internships at the company for high school students. Additional support for area youth has included work with Make-a-Wish and Caterina’s Club, which ViewSonic plans to continue.

“We are very proud of ViewSonic’s position as a global leader in providing technology solutions that support collaboration, communication and creativity. These attributes are essential for success in the learning environment as well as in virtually any chosen career path,” said Jeff Volpe, President of ViewSonic Americas. “Since charity begins at home, our initial focus is on supporting schools and students in our backyard. We hope to expand the scope of these efforts more broadly next year as well.”

Under the Empowering Future Generations banner, ViewSonic is focused on furthering the advancement of learning at all levels by providing professional expertise and innovative technologies in partnership with well-known organizations that align with the company’s mission and core values. Meeting that goal encompasses providing valuable resources to students and educators, while engaging employees in meaningful community service experiences.

ViewSonic solutions are at the hub of creating environments designed to fulfill the promise of collaboration and interconnectedness between multiple platforms and users. They are designed to help organizations build competitive advantage, improve customer experience, boost operational efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance value and revenue. The company works diligently to deliver integrated solutions that provide these benefits to the enterprise, SMB, state and local governments, and the education market.

City of Brea Welcomes ViewSonic to its Business Community

ViewSonic Holds Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its new Americas Headquarters and Visual Experience Center

BREA, CA. August 25, 2014 – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solution products, is proud to announce the relocation of its Americas Headquarters to the City of Brea. Together with the Brea Chamber of Commerce and its members, ViewSonic celebrated this noteworthy event by hosting a grand opening and official ribbon cutting ceremony at their new headquarters in Brea last Thursday, August 21. Brea Chamber members, government officials, ViewSonic executives and employees, customers, partners, and local community members were on hand to celebrate and welcome the move to the Orange County community.

ViewSonic’s new offices bring a fresh new working environment that promotes collaboration and provides the latest amenities for its employees and customers.  The company designed a state of the art Visual Experience Center, encompassing nearly 40% of the space in the new building to showcase its next-generation products.

“We’re excited about the ability to showcase our latest display technologies in our new Visual Experience Center,” said Brian Igoe, vice president of sales for ViewSonic Americas.  “As technologies advance, ViewSonic now has a model showroom to display its innovative product lines. ViewSonic will continue to maintain its heritage as a leading innovator manufacturer of visual products by developing future technologies, such as interactive touch, Ultra-HD 4K2K displays, and leading the future of virtual desktop infrastructure.”

“We felt that making the move to Orange County and the City of Brea was a step in the right direction as ViewSonic continues to grow,” said Jeff Volpe, president of ViewSonic Americas. “Orange County has a great pool of talent we can pull from while still keeping our talented staff on board. Brea has great amenities, including accessibility to local airports and freeways, which makes it easier for customers and partners to visit our headquarters. And, with the new facility, we have a platform to feature our products and technologies, from professional-grade monitors and commercial displays to projectors and VDI.”

“We welcome ViewSonic to the City of Brea.  As the preferred global brand of visual solution products, the North Orange region is a solid match to grow and expand the ViewSonic brand.  The Chamber is pleased to have ViewSonic as a business partner,” said Heidi L. Gallegos, chief executive officer for the Brea Chamber of Commerce.

ViewSonic continues to lead the way in display technology innovation and is globally recognized for its commitment to quality, reliability and performance. With more than 3,000 awards worldwide for products and services, ViewSonic has a singular focus that reflects the company’s commitment for visual display technology development.
