ViewSonic hosts Epic Esports Career Day for GEAR UP Compton

On July 6, 2023, we had an awesome time hosting an Esports Career Day at our headquarters in Brea, CA. Over 70 students from the Compton Unified School District were in attendance, and learned about different opportunities within the growing esports industry.

Together with our partners from LANFest and iBUYPOWER, we designed four different panels for the students:

  • The Anatomy of a Gaming Rig: How to build a computer and the hardware used.
  • How to Stream: The Basics of broadcasting and shout casting in esports
  • Career Pathways in Esports
  • Esports Competition and Team Building: Prizes were awarded to top players in a video game tournament.
