Brea, CA (March 28, 2018) – ViewSonic has teamed up three top education experts to embark on a special road trip to ISTE. Kicking off on June 14th, the #ISTELadiesRoadTrip will travel along the Historic Route 66 to nine different cities and visit with local schools and teachers to discuss various education-centric topics. The road trip will end in Chicago for the ISTE EdTech Conference, June 24-27, 2018. Alice Keeler, Lisa Dabbs and Christine Pinto will be the education experts offering hands-on demonstrations and professional development trainings along the way.

Alice Keeler will explain how to “Improve Learning with G Suite,” Lisa Dabbs will cover “Empowering Educators Through Connections and Collaboration,” and Christine Pinto will touch on “New and Exciting Google Apps Activities.” After an hour of the free personal development sessions, ViewSonic will host live hands-on demonstrations and trainings of ViewSonic® ViewBoard® interactive displays.

Topics Details:

Alice Keeler, @alicekeeler – Paperless is not a Pedagogy. Improving Learning with G Suite

Paperless does not mention students, engagement or learning. With the design of a highly qualified teacher, G Suite offers opportunity to increase learning, student engagement, include the 4 C’s of 21st Century learning, and provide necessary digital literacy skills. Let’s look at one way we can improve learning by using G Suite.

Lisa Dabbs, @teachwithsoul – Empowering Educators Through Connections and Collaboration

We’ll explore the ways that social media can specifically support teachers and administrators to find resources, make new connections, seek mentors and encourage each other in their work. Let’s learn to choose community over competition.

Christine Pinto, @PintoBeanz11 - The Mindset Behind Google Apps Activities

Kids CAN create with technology, that is a given. It’s not about the tool the kids use, it’s about what they DO with the tool that matters. Kindergarten Teacher Author, Christine Pinto, will paint the bigger picture to some #GAfE4Littles (Google Apps) activities and how the CAN mindset has expanded.
