It functions as a 1080p@60Hz wireless presentation system. This is the standard for most office projectors and TVs. It will keep your PowerPoints and videos looking sharp. If you use a 4K screen, most displays will simply upscale the signal to fit the native resolution. The image will easily fill the screen without looking tiny or blurry.

Lag is often caused by the type of USB port you use for power. Try to plug the USB end of your receiver into a USB 2.0 port rather than a USB 3.0 port. In most cases, USB 2.0 ports are black and USB 3.0 ports are blue. Just keep in mind that this color rule is not always guaranteed across every single device.
