Background Founded by a group of golf enthusiasts in 2025, GoGolf Simulator is Pekanbaru’s first and biggest golf simulator experience provider. The company offers state-of-the-art indoor driving range and golf course simulation facilities for players of all skill levels, including open and VIP spaces. Challenge To outfit its 10 simulator bays, GoGolf Simulator needed projectors bright enough to deliver clear, vivid images despite ambient light, without altering the existing lighting that contributes to the venue’s atmosphere or compromising image quality. Another challenge was longevity. The projectors had to provide a premium experience to visitors all day long, with minimal maintenance, for years to come. Finally, golf simulators demand a high level of contrast. A truly immersive experience requires the color of the sky and the green to be enhanced, so the player can clearly seethe ball flying across the screen. Solution To address the ambient light issue, the team at ViewSonic recommended the LS740W, a high-brightness projector packing 5,000 lumens. Capable of running 24/7, this commercial-grade DLP model provides stable image quality that doesn’t degrade, as opposed to LCD-based projectors which yellow gradually overtime. The LS740W model also has a dedicated golf mode. This setting optimizes the projection specifically for golf visuals, making the environment appear more natural while boosting the colors and textures of the course. With Golf Mode, the display is optimized with the right contrast, making the sky, green, and other golf visuals look more natural. — Justanto Wardojo, Owner, GoGolf Simulator Result Since its installation, the LS740W has enabled GoGolf Simulator to provide premiumgolfing experiences to visitors across their facilities, regardless of lighting conditions. During the projector’s first year of operation, the team has detected no degradation inbrightness or image quality, despite many hours of daily use. The visuals continue to attract positive feedback from visitors practicing their swing whocomment specifically on the sharp image quality during gameplay.
