Next-Generation Hybrid Learning at Bakirçay University

Background

İzmir Bakırçay University transformed its projection-based classrooms into a modern hybrid learning environment with ViewSonic and Atlas Kurumsal. Across 30 classrooms, ViewSonic interactive displays, camera systems, and mobile stands were deployed, while myViewBoard and ViewSonic Manager supported interactive teaching and centralized device management.

Challenge

The university’s projection-based classrooms faced limitations in image quality and visibility due to factors such as ambient light, projection alignment, and classroom conditions. At the same time, the growing demand for hybrid learning required an integrated display, camera, and audio solution that would allow both in-class and remote students to participate in the same lesson seamlessly. The goal was to create a more engaging, interactive, and consistent learning experience across all classrooms.

The project also required flexible display placement to accommodate different classroom layouts, along with centralized management of devices across 30 classrooms. A mobile display solution and remote management capabilities were needed to simplify IT operations, reduce maintenance effort, and ensure reliable day-to-day classroom performance. Together, these requirements formed the foundation of a scalable and future-ready hybrid learning environment.

Solution

Thirty 98-inch ViewSonic IFP9850-4 interactive displays were deployed as the project’s primary display solution, replacing traditional projection systems with a more interactive digital learning environment. The large touch-enabled displays allowed academics to present, annotate, and interact with lesson content directly on screen, while ensuring clear visibility throughout the classroom. This created a more engaging classroom experience for students. ViewSonic VB-CAM-201 camera systems with integrated microphones enabled high quality audio and video communication, allowing remote students to participate naturally in hybrid lessons.

ViewSonic VB-STND-005 mobile stands provided flexibility for different classroom layouts, while myViewBoard enhanced interactive teaching with digital whiteboarding and annotation tools. ViewSonic Manager enabled centralized remote management of all displays across 30 classrooms, simplifying IT operations and improving day-to-day device administration. Together, these solutions created a unified, scalable, and efficient hybrid classroom infrastructure.

Result

Following the project, 30 classrooms at İzmir Bakırçay University transitioned from projection-based systems to 98-inch ViewSonic IFP9850-4 interactive displays, creating a more dynamic and engaging learning environment. Combined with the VB-CAM-201 camera and microphone system, the new infrastructure strengthened communication between in-class and remote participants while supporting seamless hybrid teaching. Lesson content became more accessible and interactive for all students.

VB-STND-005 mobile stands provided flexibility for different classroom layouts, while myViewBoard transformed the displays into interactive teaching tools for digital content and collaboration. ViewSonic Manager simplified centralized device management across all 30 classrooms, enabling the university to unify interactive displays, hybrid communication, education software, mobility, and remote management within a single classroom technology ecosystem.
