The rotation axis of the Arm Hinge may feel tight or exhibit restricted movement. This is by design, as the axis incorporates a degree of resistance to help prevent the monitor from dropping, tilting, or moving unintentionally after installation.
Before a monitor is installed or when the monitor’s weight is not applied, the rotation axis (as shown by the red arrow in the image) may feel tight or require some force to move. This does not necessarily indicate a product defect.
Suggested checks:
Install the monitor on the arm according to the user guide.
Ensure the monitor and arm are securely fastened.
After installation, verify the rotation axis movement.
When adjusting the angle, move slowly and avoid excessive force.
When to contact support:
Contact your reseller or ViewSonic Support if you experience any of the following issues after installing the monitor:
The rotation axis does not move at all.
You hear unusual noises when adjusting the monitor.
The arm fails to maintain the monitor’s position.
You observe visible interference, deformation, damage, or looseness on any of the parts.
