When Social Enterprise World Forum 2025 (SEWF25) came to Taiwan this year, it wasn’t just another global conference, it was a celebration of collective action for real impact. More than 1,000 changemakers from 65 countries came together around a shared belief: that business can and should serve people and the planet first.
This year’s theme, “Shaping Tomorrow: Collective Action for People and Planet”, tackled some of the world’s toughest challenges, from climate change, digital disruption, aging populations, and the future of work.
“SEWF25 aims to build a world where social enterprise and innovation promote fair, sustainable growth. Every year, we notice more changemakers, from communities to corporations, embracing this common goal. We’re also pleased to see corporations like ViewSonic support this.” — Gerry Higgins, Founder & Managing Director, SEWF

A Shared Vision for Impact
As part of its broader ESG and sustainability journey, ViewSonic partnered with Impact Hub Taipei, part of the world’s largest social innovation network, to join SEWF25 as a community partner. Through this collaboration, we supported Impact Hub Taipei in creating an open and inclusive environment where ideas could flow freely, connecting people across borders and industries, both in person and online. With participants from all over the world, the forum became a dynamic space for dialogue, co-creation, and shared learning. ViewSonic’s ViewBoard Interactive Displays, designed for energy efficiency and built with low-impact materials, powered hybrid and in-person workshops that connected participants across the world.
“Our collaboration with ViewSonic demonstrates how cross-sector partnerships can drive positive change — empowering entrepreneurs, educators, and innovators to build a more circular and inclusive future.” — Oliver Chang, Co-Founder & COO, Impact Hub Taipei
For ViewSonic, this wasn’t just a partnership. It was a demonstration of how technology enables inclusion, creativity, and meaningful action.

Putting People and Planet First
At SEWF25, the global movement to put people and planet first was more than a theme. It shaped every conversation. From exploring how social procurement drives systemic change to reimagining universities as hubs for social innovation, participants exchanged ideas on building economies that value sustainability and well-being over growth alone.
For ViewSonic, these discussions reinforced the importance of partnerships and purposeful innovation. As a company committed to sustainable innovation and quality education, the company has an important role in empowering changemakers with the technology and tools that help turn ideas into lasting impact.
Vision to Action Toward Sustainability
At ViewSonic, sustainability isn’t a side project, it’s integral to design, innovation, and operations. We’re committed to:
- Climate action through energy-efficient products and circular design
- Education equality by supporting access to digital learning tools
- Responsible innovation that connects technology with human values
Moments like SEWF25 reminded us that transformation happens when people and ideas connect, and standing alongside changemakers, educators, and entrepreneurs, we’re reaffirming our belief that technology is most powerful when it enables people everywhere to make a difference.

Looking Ahead
SEWF25 illustrated a growing truth. Cross-sector collaboration is vital to achieving global sustainability goals. Businesses, educators, and innovators must continue working together to build economies that are inclusive, circular, and sustainable.
This is about more than participation. The event and our role represent a belief that technology connects people, ideas, and opportunities to shape a better future. As a force for learning, collaboration, and lasting change, we’re reminded that sustainability starts with connection, and through every connection, we can #BeTheDifference.
