ViewSonic Reaches No.1 Global Market Spot for DLP Projectors

ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of visual solutions, achieved another milestone in Q1 2021. It topped the market to become the No.1 brand in the Digital Light Processing (DLP) projectors worldwide by sales volume, a significant growth from its No.3 position in 2020, according to the latest findings from Futuresource[1]. As the fastest-growing brand in the projector market, ViewSonic has continued strong growth in the past few years. From 2017 to 2020, the overall projector market dropped 35% in sales volume, but ViewSonic bucked the trend and grew 40%.

In Q1 of 2021, ViewSonic saw an 18% year over year (YOY) increase while the overall market dropped 5%. To further analyze ViewSonic’s outstanding market performance, the growing regions include Europe, which saw a 50% growth, and Asia-Pacific, with a 25% increase. The segments that saw the biggest jumps in sales were Ultra Mobile with 93% and Dedicated Home Cinema at 82%.
