ViewSonic LED Display Warranty

Terms & Conditions – Australia

  1. Warranty Term
    ViewSonic Corporation (“ViewSonic”) warrants its LED display products (“Products”) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of three (3) years from the earlier of:
    (a) the date of installation; or
    (b) the end-user invoice date.
  2. Standard Onsite Warranty Coverage
    During the warranty period, ViewSonic will, at its discretion:
    • Repair or replace defective components, including LED modules, power supplies, control cards, and associated system components; and
    • Provide onsite labour and technical support,

    provided the Product has been installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with ViewSonic specifications and installation guidelines.
    Warranty services are provided during standard business hours (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).

  3. Scope of Onsite Service
    Onsite service under this warranty applies only to Products installed in normally reachable locations.
    For the purposes of this warranty, “normally reachable locations” means locations where authorised service personnel can safely access the Product using:
    • Standard ladders;
    • Hand tools; and
    • Normal, unrestricted building access,
    without requiring specialised access equipment, additional safety controls, or licensed trade services.
  4. Exclusions – Special Access Requirements
    The following are excluded from the standard onsite warranty and, if required, shall incur additional charges:
    • Use of special access equipment, including but not limited to:
      • Scissor lifts;
      • Boom lifts;
      • Cherry pickers;
      • Scaffolding;
    • Working at heights beyond standard ladder reach or where additional working-at-height controls are required under applicable workplace health and safety laws;
    • Restricted, confined, or hazardous access environments;
    • Sites requiring elevated risk assessments, permits, or site inductions beyond standard access.

    Where such access is required, ViewSonic may, at its discretion:
    (a) provide a separate quotation for the required services; or
    (b) require the customer to arrange and provide such access at its own cost.

  5. Exclusions – Specialist Trade Services
    This warranty does not include services requiring licensed or specialist trades, including but not limited to:
    • Licensed electrical work;
    • Structural, mechanical, or engineering services;
    • Rigging, hoisting, or load-bearing structural works;
    • Modifications to power, data, mounting systems, or building infrastructure;
    • Compliance testing, certification, or regulatory approvals.

    Any such services, if required, shall be quoted and charged separately.

  6. Exclusions – Installation and Configuration

    This warranty does not cover any work related to product installation, commissioning, configuration, calibration, relocation, or system setup, except where such work is solely and directly required to complete a standard warranty repair (e.g., replacing a defective module).
    Installation-related services, including initial installation, re-installation, or system reconfiguration, are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in this warranty.
    For installation or setup services, customers should contact the original installer or engage alternative service providers. All arrangements and costs associated with such services shall be borne by the customer.

  7. Customer Obligations
    As a condition of warranty service, the customer must:
    • Ensure the Product is installed in a safe, compliant, and serviceable environment;
    • Provide clear, safe, and unrestricted access to the Product at the time of service;
    • Arrange and bear the cost of any access equipment or specialist services not covered under this warranty;
    • Comply with all applicable workplace health and safety laws and site requirements.
    Failure to meet these obligations may result in service delays or additional charges.
  8. Service Assessment and Approval
    Prior to dispatching service personnel, ViewSonic reserves the right to:
    • Request site photographs, drawings, or installation details;
    • Conduct a remote technical assessment; and
    • Determine whether additional charges apply.
    No chargeable services will be undertaken without customer acknowledgement and approval.
  9. Exclusions and Limitations
    This warranty does not cover:
    • Normal wear and tear;
    • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, or unauthorised modification;
    • Damage resulting from improper installation by non-authorised parties;
    • Damage caused by external factors including power fluctuations, environmental conditions, or force majeure events.

    Spare Module Handling and Colour Variation

    LED display systems are supplied with spare LED modules as part of the original purchase, subject to model availability and project configuration. These spares are intended to be used to replace defective modules during warranty service.

    It is the customer’s responsibility to properly store, maintain, and manage these spare modules in suitable environmental conditions. ViewSonic is not liable for any loss, damage, degradation, or colour variation of customer-held spare modules due to improper storage, mishandling, or environmental exposure.

    If original spare modules are unavailable or unusable, ViewSonic may supply replacement modules at additional cost. Due to LED batch variation, ageing, and manufacturing tolerances, colour uniformity between newly supplied modules and existing installed modules cannot be guaranteed.

  10. Authorised Service Providers
    Warranty services may be performed by ViewSonic or its Authorised Service Provider(s) appointed within Australia.
  11. Governing Law
    These Warranty Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the state or territory in which the Product is installed.
  12. Australian Consumer Law
    Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.
