Our new LSD400HD projector reflects that vision. Designed for efficiency and durability, it uses a high-efficiency laser light source that delivers up to 59% lower power consumption compared to lamp-based projectors with similar brightness. With a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, the LSD400HD shines brighter for longer while 35% lighter and smaller compared to its predecessor. These improvements help reduce material waste, energy consumption, and maintenance needs, while also cutting transportation costs and emissions for eco-friendlier deployment.

We do our best to ensure customers minimize their environmental impact at every stage. For example, LSD400HD packaging uses FSC-certified paper cushions, reducing plastic use while working towards more responsible forest resource utilization. We prioritize the safety of users. All models achieve 100% compliance with strict health, hazardous material-free, and safety standards such as ROHS, WEEE, and cTUVus. Additionally, select models ship TÜV SÜD-certified, adhering to strict standards for eye comfort and safety during extended viewing periods.

Designed for Global Responsible Replacement
Sustainability doesn’t end with a projector’s service lifespan. It extends to managing products responsibly from creation to their eventual end of life and replacement. We help customers from beginning to end with regards to proper product deployment and retirement.
Through our Recycling Programs across the US and 12 European countries, ViewSonic makes sure that retired projectors are collected, recycled, and reused in full compliance with regional and local regulations.
In the US, we partner with certified recyclers for our recycling programs that meet e-Steward, R2/RIOS, and ISO standards, so that materials are processed safely and never sent to landfills. Our Mail-Back Program offers a convenient way to recycle retired projectors at no cost to customers.
For European markets, we partner with organizations in multiple countries to provide recycling services to our customers. Through the ViewSonic Europe Take-Back Program, we cover all costs associated with the return of ViewSonic hardware and ensure that all products are properly recycled.
Our approach aligns with the European Union’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2012/19/EU, which promotes the reuse, recycling, and recovery of electronic waste while improving the environmental performance at all stages of the product lifecycle.
Valuable components such as circuit boards, metals, and plastics are recovered for reuse, supporting our ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and reflecting our belief that sustainability should extend to much more than energy savings.
