Behind the Lens: The Story of the Shot
Diving under Florida’s Blue Heron Bridge is always rewarding because of the variety of interesting creatures—It’s a dream for underwater photographers. During this dive, I found several common seahorses, which make excellent subjects, though they can be a bit camera shy! I used a snoot on my strobe to isolate this seahorse, and the debris on its body added unique colors.

Creator’s Tip: My Go-To Creative Habits
As you dive deeper, water absorbs light, causing colors like red, orange, and yellow to fade. To bring back those vibrant hues, use artificial light, like strobes, to illuminate your subject. This reveals true colors that can’t be fully recovered in post-processing.

Behind the Lens: The Story of the Shot
The Alpe di Siusi, or Seiser Alm, is a renowned spot in the Dolomites and the highest alpine meadow there. I planned for a sunrise or sunset shoot, but storms washed out the road, so I took the cable car. The light was harsh when I arrived, so I sent up the drone for a wider perspective and used a black mist filter to soften the contrast.

I really love Fan Ho and Steve McCurry’s photobooks. Using film, both mastered the use of light to emphasize their storytelling.
Creator’s Tip: My Go-To Creative Habits
Don’t be afraid to revisit locations. Besides different conditions, you will find fresh new perspectives and in the process learn new composition techniques. Repetition makes masters!

The combination of the bright colors of the dress, the out-of-the-box angle, and the element of sunlight around the subject's head makes her look majestic. Just like the title, Sun Goddess, who always looks down, constantly illuminating the earth with the beauty of her graceful pose. Harmonious, beautiful, and certainly bringing warmth to everyone who sees it.

Inspiration comes from seeing life as a lens: “Focus on what’s important, capture the good, and if things don’t work out, take another shot.” This echoes, “The most important days are the day you are born and the day you find out why”

My principle is to shoot with unique angles and perspectives, creating unconventional yet inspiring works. "Minimalism" is my way of editing photos. Most of the time, I prefer the natural look of the photos. shadow, saturation, and sharpness are usually tweaked too much by many photographers—moderation is the key.

The lifestyle of fishermen in floating communities is truly unique. When I experienced this way of life, it became my inspiration to create this photo.

For stunning reflection shots, shoot during golden hour or sunset to take advantage of soft, natural light. After capturing your shot, edit the photo on a PC to enhance colors and details for a polished, professional finish.

An exceptionally talented 17-year-old acrobatic ballerina recently visited my photography studio, seeking to capture timeless memories through a photoshoot. Her performance during the session left me deeply inspired.
Throughout the shoot, we collaborated closely to harmonize the interplay of dynamic poses, intricate lighting, and frozen movements. The synergy between her artistry and my vision culminated in a series of photographs that I believe perfectly encapsulate her grace and agility.

The body is presented in an elegant curve that merges with the sinuosity of time—a metaphor for its circular nature, folding past, present, and future together. Glass jars filled with water symbolize desires and emotions, while water itself represents fluidity.
This piece invites reflection on capturing moments, blending reality and imagination in an eternal instant. The deep green background signifies renewal and growth, connecting to life’s continuous cycle.
At its core, it explores balance—the tension between holding on and letting go, memory and presence—urging us to embrace the now.
Inspiration & Muse: What Fuels My Creativity
I’m inspired by the book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and the words of Henri Cartier-Bresson, who said, "To photograph is to place the head, the eye, and the heart on the same axis." I also connect with Robert Frank’s belief that "The most important thing is to see what is invisible to others."

Who can participate?
The challenge is open to creatives across the world of all skill levels and backgrounds. If you have a passion for photography or videography, you’re welcome to join!

How long does the contest run?
The challenge runs from April to December 2025, with a new theme, new inspiration, and a new finalist every month.

Can I submit multiple entries each month?
Yes! You’re welcome to submit multiple entries, as long as each one aligns with the theme and follows the submission guidelines.

Do I need professional equipment to participate?
Not at all! Whether you shoot with a high-end camera, a smartphone, or create digitally, all original creative works are welcome—as long as they fit the challenge theme.

What if the prize monitor isn’t available in my region?
In the rare case that the VP2776T-4K isn’t available in your region, we’ll provide a comparable or superior model. (Terms & Conditions apply.)

Can I use AI-generated content for my submission?
Your submission must be original and human-created. AI-assisted elements are allowed as long as they enhance your creative process rather than generate the entire piece.
