We are introducing several new features this September 2026: A new Quiz Tool feature for myViewBoard, and a couple of new updates to Manager that provide more ways to search, filter, and monitor ViewSonic devices. Continue reading to learn more.

myViewBoard

The latest version of myViewBoard v3.0 ships now with a new Quiz Tool feature that pairs two connected modules into the teacher's existing workflow.

Introducing the Quiz Tool in myViewBoard 3.0!

• Quiz Tool runs inside the myViewBoard app and turns on-screen content into live questions, monitors the class in real time, and reveals results without leaving the whiteboard.

• myViewBoard Hub converts uploaded files (PowerPoint, PDF, Google Slides, and competitor formats) into an editable myViewBoard lesson (.olf) and question banks, saved to the teacher's own cloud. 

These form one closed loop: 

1. Prepare lessons and materials in Hub 
2. Teach and check understanding with the Quiz Tool 
3. Results and materials flow back into Hub

Manager

This new release aims to simplify your daily operations with expanded device support and improved filtering tools for better visibility and management of all registered devices.

• Expanded device support 
  We have expanded our ecosystem to include support for these new models:
  • ePoster 5543 
  • ePoster 5543T 
  • LDS136-152 

• Device page column filters 
  To save time when searching through large deployments, click the new Filter icon on the Model and Status columns to display only the devices you plan to target.

• Custom column for Standby Mode 
  This release adds Standby Mode as a custom column option to give you immediate visibility into the power status of your displays.

Manager Advanced

Remote administration now comes with centralized updates, automated alerts, and powerful new configuration tools.

• Email notifications
  We've introduced automated email notifications for critical system events to help you stay informed and respond to potential issues much faster.

• Firmware and software Quick View
  Instead of checking devices one by one, the new Quick View feature can help instantly spot which devices need updating. This new view also provides easy access to options for configuring software settings and scheduling rollouts.

• ViewBoard Launcher configuration 
  Admins can now remotely update the ViewBoard Name and customize Desktop Shortcuts (that appear in the ViewBoard Launcher) to apply a consistent device setup in every room via new custom options in the Profile section.

• Write Away configuration
  Good news for IFP41 users: a new "Write Away" configuration has been added to the Profile settings.

• Remote Guest mode management 
  Guest Mode can now be enabled or disabled remotely. This is supported in both remote control and profile settings.

• Scrolling ticker for broadcasts 
  The new scrolling ticker component allows the broadcast of moving text messages without interrupting the existing content.

• Manager Mobile push notifications 
  The Manager Mobile app now supports push notifications for important system events.
