What's New

June 2026

This month focuses on flexibility and accessibility for IT administrators. With the introduction of our new mobile web experience and robust updates to device tracking and global scheduling, our June updates empower you to manage your ViewBoard devices seamlessly, whether you are at your desk or on the go.

Manager

Maximize your device visibility with our new mobile-optimized web experience and enhanced tracking capabilities.

  • Manager Mobile Web: To monitor and manage devices on the go, we are introducing a new mobile-optimized web experience that supports the most frequently used management functions. For added convenience, install it directly to your mobile device's home screen for quick access to a native app-like experience. Try it out and share your feedback with us!

  • ViewBoard Launcher Data Management: Added a new support feature in the ViewBoard Launcher settings to automatically clear app data upon user sign-out to enhance user privacy and device security.

  • Enhanced Notifications: New automated notification types to instantly alert you of firmware update failures and broadcast failures.

  • Custom Column Options: Column Settings options now enable showing "ViewSonic Software," "Total Uptime," and "Input Source" data.

  • Device List Exports: Exported Excel files now include "Last Seen" and "ViewSonic Software" information in the output.

Manager Advanced

Seamlessly manage global fleets with new timezone scheduling and streamline the EDLA onboarding experience for your end users.

  • Global Job Scheduling: Managing devices across regions is now easier than ever. We have added timezone settings to your Job configurations, allowing you to accurately schedule remote jobs across different global time zones without complex manual conversions.

  • Profile Wallpaper Customization: You now have a quick option within device profiles to restore any customized device wallpaper back to the standard default background.

  • EDLA Multiple Users: We have streamlined the EDLA user creation behavior. Now, if an administrator creates a user via Manager, the setup wizard will automatically trigger the very first time that user accesses the panel, ensuring a smooth and guided onboarding experience.

  • Profile App List Expansion: We have expanded your options by adding more supported EDLA apps to the profile app list.

  • Action Log Default View: To immediately show you the most relevant and actionable data, the default time range in your Action Log has been changed to the "Last 30 Days."

We hope these new features enhance your experience across the ViewSonic ecosystem! As always, we’re committed to improving our product, so stay tuned for more updates. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.
