Accessibility Support: Navigating Content without a Mouse

Directional Panning Controls provide an accessible way for teachers to review student work using the Push-and-Respond feature. This tool eliminates the need for click-and-drag motions, offering a keyboard-friendly alternative that complies with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Using Directional Panning Controls

To navigate student submissions on the Push-and-Respond review screen, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the Directional Pad Find the small control interface on the student work overlay.

  2. Move the View Click the arrows on the directional pad to slide the content. This allows you to inspect all areas of the student's response without dragging.

  3. Use Keyboard Navigation Press your keyboard’s arrow keys to move the view. Ensure the window is in focus before using the keys.

Zoom Support

Directional Panning Controls remain fully functional even when your browser is zoomed up to 300%. This ensures users with low vision can navigate enlarged content seamlessly.
