Windows update may cause some issues with screen resolution setting being lost, Please follow below steps to change the resolution of the screen and check:

1. Type Change screen resolution in the Search box from the desktop  and click   Change screen resolution of the display.

2. Under Display Resolution select Recommended resolution.
3. A windows pops up saying "Keep these display settings", then select Keep changes.
