Overview

The ViewSonic® PJD6383s is an advanced short throw, networkable DLP® projector designed for classroom and corporate environments. With its short throw lens, the projector can project a 100” image from less than 4 feet. Having the projector close to the screen eliminates cast shadows and blinding light for presenters. PJD6383s delivers amazingly bright, clear images with XGA 1024x768 native resolution, 3,000 ANSI lumens and 15,000:1 high contrast ratio, while BrilliantColor™ technology provides vivid, vibrant colors. This networkable projector is equipped with Crestron® e-Control™ and RoomView Express™, making it easy for IT managers to monitor and control the projector from their workstations. In addition, the projector is AMX® Device Discovery™ certified which further enhances it to be a robust network projector for any size of campus or enterprise. With the new DynamicEco™ technology, presenters can control audiences’ focus by dimming the brightness down to 30% with a simple click of the remote. The PJD6383s also comes standard with multiple PC and video inputs including HDMI, 120Hz/3D-Ready and 10w integrated speaker. The PJD6383s short throw, networkable XGA DLP® projector provides remarkable multimedia projection for both education and businesses.

The BenQ MX618ST's data image quality is no match for the ViewSonic PJD6383s, an XGA short-throw projector that had considerably sharper text.

The BenQ MX618ST's data image quality is no match for the ViewSonic PJD6383s, an XGA short-throw projector that had considerably sharper text. The ViewSonic's video, however, had more rainbow artifacts than the MX618ST. If your presentations have little or no video, the ViewSonic PJD6383s is clearly a better choice; otherwise, the MX618ST can hold its own.

ViewSonic PJD6383s

The PDJ6383s has better data image quality than the Epson PowerLite 435W Multimedia Projector a WXGA short-throw projector, but the Epson projector does better with video; for one thing, as it is LCD based, it's immune from rainbow artifacts. The ViewSonic PJD6383s offers very good data image quality in a short-throw projector. You can get its higher-resolution cousin, the Editors' Choice ViewSonic PJD6683ws, for not much more money, but the PJD6383s offers excellent value at a modest price, as long as you don't need to run much video in your presentations.
