Plasma Extended Warranty Details

The Extended Warranty Service (the "Program") is offered pursuant to the terms of this agreement. The Program extends the term of ViewSonic's standard warranty for an additional period of time depending upon the choice indicated below. For ViewSonic's standard warranty terms, please consult the Users' Guide that was enclosed with your product at the time of purchase.

Enrollment is accomplished by receipt of registration and payment of the applicable fee plus tax, if any. Once enrolled, the Program is valid for the stated term and is not transferable. The enrollment fee, including any tax, is NOT refundable. Customers may register at any time during the first 90 days of product purchase. Enrollment pricing is subject to change without notice.

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION CONTAINED HEREIN. THIS PROGRAM IN NO WAY EXPANDS OR ENHANCES THE APPLICABLE LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY, EXCEPT TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF TIME DURING WHICH THE LIMITED WARRANTY WILL BE APPLICABLE.

NOT COVERED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY:
Loss of or damage to the covered product due to abuse, mishandling, improper packaging by you, alteration, accident, electrical current fluctuations or failure to follow operating, maintenance or environmental instructions prescribed in the covered product's User Manual.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

VIEWSONIC WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO OR DATA LOSS OF ANY PROGRAMS, DATA OR REMOVABLE STORAGE MEDIA THAT MAY OCCUR DURING REPAIR OR DUE TO REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT.

Guidelines

  1. Extended Warranty must be purchased within 90 days from the date of product purchase.
  2. All Extended Warranty purchases must be purchased and registered with ViewSonic Customer Support for each serial number of the product. ViewSonic Customer Support will issue a confirmation of the extended warranty for each registered serial number. Any serial number not being registered will have a standard one-year warranty.
  3. Calls must be received by 12:00 PM Pacific Time to guarantee 48-hour service.
  4. Saturdays, Sundays and Major U.S., and Canadian Holidays are excluded from guaranteed 48 hour service visit.
  5. The extended warranty program is only available on new products. Refurbished products are not covered by the program.
  6. The customer is responsible for making the unit accessible at floor level prior to arrival of the technician. The technician will not be responsible for removing from or replacing the unit into a mounting system.
  7. Image burn-in is not considered a manufacturer defect.
  8. Optional accessories are not covered by the extended warranty.
  9. Charges may apply if on-site technician finds no defect.
  10. Warranty program is valid for the product serial number registered at the time of enrollment OR the product serial number for the replacement unit.
  11. Specifications and pricing subject to change without notice.
  12. Program offering will vary by region and country. Prices may vary due to currency conversion.
  13. Physical damage and user abuse are not covered under this program and not considered a manufacturer defect.
  14. Only authorized ViewSonic technicians may perform service and support to ViewSonic plasma display products. All service performed by someone other than ViewSonic may void your ViewSonic limited warranty.
  15. Additional information may be requested at the time of service request.
  16. Should your ViewSonic Plasma require replacement, ViewSonic will arrange for the pickup and delivery of a new or like new plasma replacement, at ViewSonic's option.
Order Process

  1. Complete the Extended Warranty Purchase Form, select the Extended Warranty Option and include payment information. Signature is required on all completed forms. Forms received without signature will not be processed.

  2. Fax the completed form and a copy of the invoice/receipt to ViewSonic Customer Support at (909) 444-5619

    Note: Please only register by either fax OR mail. Please do NOT register both by fax and mail as this may cause duplicate registration and/or charges for payments.

  3. The extended warranty confirmation will be mailed within 7 business days.
