Customer surveys showed that passengers were unhappy, with a perception of arbitrary waiting times. To improve customer satisfaction the transport authority placed electronic destination signs in all stations, using CD4620 screens, announcing the time until the next train, as well as promoting travel offers and season tickets. The system used digital signage technology to link to the existing transport information systems, providing real-time information to passengers. Promotional content was precisely scheduled, targeting the specific profile of passengers using the service at each point of the day.
