"We think ViewSonic has a winner of a projector on its hands with the PRO9000."
We think ViewSonic has a winner of a projector on its hands with the PRO9000. Its cool and quiet operation, relatively compact size and light weight, excellent color reproduction, stellar remote, and admirable brightness levels are trumped only by its 20,000-hour “lamp” rating. We didn’t miss this projector’s lack of 3D capability for a second, but we’ll let you decide whether lens shifting trumps never having to swap out a pricey light bulb. Regardless, this is a nicely competitive projector, and an excellent choice in the under-$4000 price class, especially for those who prize realistic color output.

ViewSonic Pro9000
Priced for moderately serious videophiles, the full 1080p HD ViewSonic Pro9000 is available both by itself and from the sort of dealers who will install and calibrate the projector for you, help match it to an appropriate screen and screen size for your home theater, and more. It lacks some features you might expect—including, for example, frame interpolation—but it offers a hybrid LED and laser light source that should last the life of the projector, and it delivers a respectably high-quality image.

Based on the release of ViewSonic's Pro 9000 projector, the video category industry member was 100 percent on the money with his forecast. ViewSonic's latest projector is a state-of-the-art product that made its debut at the 2012 InfoComm show and it is now available to electronics professionals, that want a high performing, low maintenance projector that is priced at a consumer friendly level.
