ViewSonic Brings Increased Performance, More Options To Visual Computing Experience
From Its First 19-inch LCD to Next Generation Tablet PC, Company Expands Display Choices for Home and Business Users
LAS VEGAS – Nov. 12, 2001 – ViewSonic® Corporation, a worldwide Visual Technologies™ leader, added to its award-winning line of display products, unveiling five LCD and CRT monitors-including its first 19-inch LCD-as well as plans for a next generation ViewPad Tablet PC. Among ViewSonic's LCD flat panel and CRT products featured in Las Vegas:
Two LCD monitors, the VG191-ViewSonic's first 19-inch viewable LCD-and the 17-inch VG171 are targeted at business professionals who require the most modern technology in larger screen displays. Both feature ViewSonic's OptiSync™ and SuperClearMVA™ technology to deliver a high contrast ratio, vibrant colors and an ultra-fast response rate for enhanced picture clarity and focus, even when viewing moving images.
Two VX Series LCD displays, the 17-inch VX700 and the 18-inch VX800. Engineered for small or home office environments, the displays also offer OptiSync and SuperClear MVA technology, along with analog and digital inputs and a progressive two-tone metallic finish bezel.
The G70f, a Graphic Series flat screen CRT offering a sharp-focus, flicker-free 17-inch (16.0" viewable) PerfectFlat® multimedia display with enhanced audio features, including a pair of three-watt speakers, headphone jacks and a microphone-all encased in a sleek black cabinet design.
In the burgeoning Tablet PC category, ViewSonic also announced that it is working closely with Microsoft Corporation to ensure that its next generation of ViewPad Tablet PCs include a version that runs the Microsoft Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition operating system. A prototype of the premier ViewPad product, delivering all the benefits of a fully functional portable PC, plus the added convenience of pen & speech input, will be featured at the Tablet PC Product Fair immediately following Microsoft CEO Bill Gates' keynote address.
