ViewSonic Adds Industry Veteran to Corporate Management Team

Matt Milne Named Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy

WALNUT, Calif. , Sept. 28, 2004 – ViewSonic® Corp., a worldwide visual display products leader, announced today it has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Matt Milne to senior vice president of Business Development and Strategy. In this role, Milne will direct the company’s corporate strategy, business development and strategic investment efforts in pursuit of aggressive growth across both its business and consumer product lines.

Milne brings more than 15 years of technology marketing and business management experience to ViewSonic, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of Consumer Solutions at Gateway, where he led all facets of the company’s rapidly growing consumer electronics business. His leadership resulted in significant revenue diversification and expansion for the company.

“Matt’s proven track record for building diverse product lines and implementing efficient business models, along with his vast leadership experience in all business aspects, will be a valuable asset to ViewSonic as we continue to expand our presence in the consumer electronics market,” said James Chu , chairman and CEO, ViewSonic. “We’ll look to Matt to further our progress in becoming the preferred global brand for visual display products and in providing our customers with the ultimate visual experience.”

Prior to his successful tenure at Gateway, Milne co-founded Cameo Technologies Inc., a digital media communication and distribution business. As president and CEO, Milne led the company from product concept to revenue and built experience in all aspects of company management. Milne also held various sales and marketing leadership positions at Western Digital Corp., where his most recent role was vice president of Sales and Marketing to the Americas.

Milne received a bachelor of arts in Finance from California State University , Fullerton and a master’s in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University , Pomona .
