ViewSonic Appoints Jan Jensen President of ViewSonic Europe
WALNUT, Calif. , Oct. 26, 2004 – ViewSonic® Corp., a worldwide visual display products leader, announced today that it has named Jan Jensen the president of ViewSonic Europe. In this role, Jensen will provide strategic direction and foster new business development across Europe to help the company become the preferred global provider of visual display products.Jensen brings more than 15 years of technology leadership experience to ViewSonic, most recently asvice president of Worldwide Sales Channels and of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at Proxim Wireless Networks, a global leader in wireless networking equipment. At Proxim, Jensen was instrumental in repositioning the company as a premium brand, while simultaneously developing and implementing new global sales, channel and pricing strategies.

Prior to his tenure at Proxim, Jensen held a variety of leadership roles around the globe, including deputy chief operating officer for Metro International; vice president of Business in EMEA for Gateway; director of International Channel Management for Siemens Computer Systems; business unit manager for Compaq Computer; and various sales and marketing roles for Panasonic/Matsushita. In addition, Jensen also has served on the board of directors for Energy Solution International, the largest independent software vendor of pipeline operation and business management software solutions to the oil and gas pipeline industry. In this role, he provided vision and direction in the development of global sales and marketing strategies.
Jensen fills the position after Christopher Franey’s transition from president of ViewSonic Europe to president of ViewSonic Americas earlier this year.
Jensen holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Business Economics from Aarhus School of Business Administration in Denmark .
