ViewSonic led ship-out results for the third consecutive quarter with a 17.1 percent share or 21,602 units, up from last quarter. Behind ViewSonic in DisplaySearch's Q1 '99 LCD findings were NEC®, Compaq®, Philips® and IBM® with sell-through market shares of 13.5 percent, 11.5 percent, 7.4 percent and 7 percent respectively.

ViewSonic® Named LCD Display Market Leader In North America For Second Consecutive Quarter
WALNUT, Calif. – June 14, 1999 – ViewSonic Corporation today announced that it led the LCD monitor market with 17.1 percent and 21 percent market share based on ship-out and sell-through, respectively, in the first quarter of this year, according to DisplaySearch, a leading flat panel display market research firm.
