ViewSonic's New Retail Product Suite Ready to Hit Shelves(A90, A70, A75s, and A50)
WALNUT, Calif. – September 21, 1999 – ViewSonic Corporation, a leading worldwide provider of advanced display technology, today announced its new family of monitors exclusively for sale at retailers. This suite of products offers four monitors (A90, A70, A75s, and A50) designed with benefits important to users: Internet color ready, full screen brightness, sharp images and ViewSonic's signature enhancements such as OnView and ViewMatch controls, and SuperClear technology.Immediately, initial quantities of the monitors will be sold at select regional locations of Best Buy, CompUSA, Frys Electronics, Micro Center, Office Depot and other leading national retailers, with a nationwide roll out following later in the year. Upon introduction, the A90 monitor will come with two rebate offers, making the monitor virtually free.

About the A-Series Monitors
The A series monitors uses SuperClear technology allowing for edge-to-edge full screen brightness that is 30 percent brighter than conventional CRT monitors and has up to 10 percent more color saturation for vivid pictures. The product line also includes an Internet color management profile for true color representation when viewing Web pages. Invar shadow mask technology, a special type of alloy that withstands higher heat levels, extending the picture tube life while displaying sharp, bright pictures.
All the monitors host ViewSonic's OnView controls that provides a user-friendly system for all screen adjustments. Users can access on-screen menu adjustments for the image quality, size, position, and geometry for optimal viewing. The A70, A75s and A90 also come with ViewMatch controls for screen-to-print matching.
A90 Monitor
The A90 is the monitor to buy when upgrading a computing system. This 19" (18.0" viewable) has up to 25 percent more viewable area than a typical 17" (various viewable) monitor. The larger viewing area broadens the core usage of the display to include graphics intense applications and gaming as well as Internet, and standard business software programs. The A90's horizontal dot pitch is 0.23 mm with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 at 80Hz flicker free refresh rate. Maximum resolution is 1,600 x 1,280. MSRP: $429.

A70 Monitor
The A70 has a super-fine horizontal dot pitch of 0.22 mm. It displays a 1024 x 768 resolution at 87Hz with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. The monitor is VESA GTF compliant, which automatically aligns images to reduce set-up time. This 17" (16.0 viewable) display enhances the visual computing experience for consumers using a variety of business applications and doing heavy Internet browsing. MSRP $259.
A75s Monitor
The A75s is a short depth, space-saving monitor. Ideal for those requiring maximize desktop space, this 17" (16.0 viewable) display has a footprint of a 14" (various viewable) monitor. Offering the same performance and quality as the A70 sister model, this monitor has a 0.24 mm horizontal dot pitch and a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. A special ARAG screen treatment has been applied to the viewing area. This multilayer process refracts unwanted light away from the user while maintaining the highest quality of the displayed image. A50 Monitor
ViewSonic's A50 15" (13.8 viewable) monitor offers a 0.24mm horizontal dot pitch and great quality. Maximum resolution is 1024 x 768 at 70Hz. This monitor is ideal for general computing: Internet browsing, word processing and spreadsheets. MSRP $159. The A-Series monitors are PC and Mac compatible and are compliant with Windows Plug & Play+ and Microsoft PC '99 standards. These monitors are also MPR-II and EPA Energy Star compliant, surpassing the strictest standards for reduced emissions, power consumption and efficiency. Anti-static, anti-reflection screen coating is standard on the A-Series. All ViewSonic monitors carry a three-year warranty on parts and labor.
