As a result of the publication's ninth annual report card on the performance of distributors and vendors, resellers acknowledged ViewSonic as the number-one provider of computer monitors. The report card offers resellers a forum to express their level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with suppliers across a wide breadth of product categories, including displays.
"We work extremely hard to build and maintain relationships with resellers," noted Jeff Volpe, director of sales for ViewSonic in Canada. With the maximum score being 5.0 in each category, ViewSonic received a 4.40 in product quality and reliability; 4.32 in product availability; 4.39 in range of product line; 4.19 in price performance; 3.65 in technical support; 4.13 in compatibility/upgradability; and 3.76 in web site and online services. Overall, the company scored 4.12.
Tied with ViewSonic was ADI. Mag Innovision earned second place with an overall score of 4.03, Sony finished in third place with 4.02, and NEC was fourth with 3.94.
