In its first annual competition, Computer Reseller News Canada surveyed resellers on a variety of topics, including product quality and reliability, price performance, upgradability and compatibility, product availability, technical support, return policies, marketing programs, response time, and financing and flooring programs. Resellers acknowledged ViewSonic as the preferred provider of computer monitors.
The companies evaluated for the award competed in several categories ranging from servers and hard drives to graphics boards and notebooks. The reseller survey consisted of two phases. The first phase was a telephone survey asking more than 400 Canadian resellers to name the brand they were most familiar with. After accumulating the responses, Rotenberg Research, an independent research firm, determined the companies that would be included in phase two.
Phase two, or the satisfaction survey, was a mix of written and telephone surveys. A minimum of 100 responses was secured for every vendor in each category. These responses determined the results of the survey.
Comprehensive survey results and details about the judging criteria will be featured in the September 21 issue of Computer Reseller News Canada.
