VIEWSONIC TEAMS UP WITH WORLD TEAMTENNIS CHARITY EVENT
Display Company's Latest Technology Provides Patrons with Entertainment and Information
WALNUT, Calif., July 13, 2007 – ViewSonic® Corp., a worldwide leader in display products, announced its sponsorship of a World TeamTennis (WTT) charity event, which will be held throughout the month of July in the Breakers Stadium at the Newport Beach Country Club. The WTT has partnered with tennis stars John McEnroe, Anna Kournikova, Pete Sampras, Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams, to showcase some of the best tennis in Orange County. Proceeds from the event will benefit Hoag Hospital, a non-profit Orange County hospital.
"For ViewSonic, events such as the World TeamTennis matches provide an outstanding venue to cheer on and interact with community residents who have supported ViewSonic over the years," said Steve Woo, vice president of sales operations, ViewSonic. "Not only is it a wonderful opportunity to help one of the premier hospitals in our area, but also to showcase our display capabilities."
ViewSonic has installed more than 30 widescreen NextVision® LCD TVs — including the 25-inch N2751w, the 27-inch N2752w and the 40-inch N4060w — that will display high-definition TV entertainment to event attendees. ViewSonic will also host demonstrations showcasing the digital signage capabilities of its displays, which allow event organizers to communicate directions, instructions and company logos to patrons of large events, corporate offices or retail locations.
ViewSonic's LCD TVs are displayed throughout the event grounds, and demonstrations of their networked signage capabilities can be seen at the company's booth. Tickets to the event range from $15 to $45 and can be obtained at the door or by visiting www.NewportBeachBreakers.com. For more information about the event, including a complete schedule of matches, contact the Breakers at 949-916-6682. To learn more about ViewSonic, visit www.ViewSonic.com.
